If real ale is your thing, look no further. We offer our own Brewshed beers brewed at our craft brewery just down the road.
We’re passionate about wine and have created an award winning list which offers a selection of old favourites combined with some more unusual and quirky wines. The common theme is that we believe they are all well made wines offering good value for money. Every single one of our wines are available by the glass (except some champagnes).
On the food side, the emphasis is on good quality, seasonal produce and, wherever possible, we source it locally. We love Sunday lunch and offer a great roast – bring the family or meet up with friends and catch up on your week.
We’re open from noon until late. So if you’re in need of a locally roasted coffee in the afternoon, you know where to come.
Free wi-fi is available throughout the pub.

Excellent property. Very comfortable and cosy and close enough to the middle of town for everything to be in easy to reach. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed in a long while.
Nothing.

We had an issue with the wifi connection which was resolved within 15 minutes. The property is in a great location for walking into Bury St Edmunds and for travelling further afield. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed for a short stay with young children.

Perfect home from home
It felt like a home away from home as it was super cosy. The hosts were lovely and totally understanding if I had to change check in/check out (I stayed for 3 nights a week for 4 consecutive weeks). They answered any questions I had really quickly. Quick wifi for working from home if needed. cutlery and cleaning supplies available and towels, which made travelling light which is a bonus! Parking on sight which is amazing!

Abbey Gardens on the doorstep
Next to Abbey Gardens for dog walking. Ground floor, and good size throughout. Suited my needs between selling one house and buying another.

Very comfortable, but would have liked a warning about the noise from the road.
Good location in relation to the venue I worked at, but very noisy during the night. Well equipped and clean apartment.

Great Location
The keys were in a keysafe so it we didn't have to meet anyone to collect them. The location was brilliant, as we had come for the Christmas Market, so wasn't far to walk as I have mobility issues, so we paced ourselves seeing some of the market in the morning, coming back for a rest and then going out again in the evening. There was a manual explaining what was expected of us and who to contact if there were any issues and information about the area. We asked if we could leave our car until 12.30pm, as I wanted to pop to the market before we left and they kindly agreed as long as we were gone before check in for next guests. I would recommend this apartment

A wonderful place to stay to explore East Anglia.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old School Apartments. The location is excellent for exploring Bury Saint Edmunds and a great base for exploring East Anglia. The apartment is very comfortable and is a welcome retreat from a days sightseeing. Sue with property management was extremely helpful regarding the details of our stay. James with property maintenance was also very helpful with questions regarding navigating our way in the area.
Everything was most satisfactory.

Great Location! Has its pros and cons but still a lovely little place
The location is perfect! It seems rare to live that close to the town and have parking. It's a very short walk to the Abbey Gardens and all the shops. The Apartment itself was very quaint and well laid out. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. I enjoyed that the TV had Netflix for those nights that you just want to order takeout and watch something on the telly. I thought the linens were lovely and comfy to sleep on and the towels were large and fluffy. The place was very clean, a fair amount of spiders, but this is England and if they want to come in, they will and they aren't going to harm anyone. Getting the keys and leaving them when you go is very simple! The back patio area looked lovely, we didn't use it ourselves but it would definitely be a nice place to hang out. The shower has good pressure, but you do feel like you're in a race to be done before water could overflow from the shower basin. We just stayed for a short time, but this place is great if you're staying for a while as it does have all your needs available.
